Arguably one of Hong Kong's best American restaurants, Commissary is a casual all-day restaurant and bar located in Pacific Place. Best described as an American affair featuring favourites celebrated across the 50 states, the menu highlights iconic dishes, famed both in America and further afield.

In the morning, freshly baked pastries first appear, perfect for commuters to quickly grab and enjoy with a takeaway coffee care of specialty roasters, Redback. One perhaps featuring single origin beans and/or a plant-based milks. Those with greater time or bunkering down for a morning meeting can begin their morning with an array of egg based dishes, granolas and more – an ideal first meal for the day.

Come lunch and dinner, an expansive a la carte men broken down according to Burgers and Sandwiches, Soups & Salads, Tacos, Pasta and Seafood, as well as American BBQ, takes centre stage. While hard to highlight the hits, with all in high demand, Commissary has quickly earned a reputation as a restaurant serving the best burgers and tacos in Hong Kong. So too an epic selection of meats smoked in house using the Southern Pride smoker.

When the sweet cravings hit, the dessert menu takes an ‘all in’ approach. The favourites? Beignets – the famed New Orleans style donut, a Chocolate fudge brownie come sundae, and Cookie dough, half baked, then topped with ice cream.

A selection of cakes, cookies and slices attractively sit in the front counter. Made using fine ingredients and trusted recipes, they proudly retain an old-world charm that is often hard to execute or define.

Along with speciality coffee, Commissary’s beverage program has been carefully thought out under the direction of JIA’s Group Bar Manager, James Barker. Kombucha, a naturally fermented carbonated tea beloved by the health conscious, is made in house with the flavours changing in accordance with the seasons. So too the refreshing iced teas and cold pressed juices.

At the other end of the spectrum, sinful milkshakes, are made thick with ice cream and come topped with torrents of cream, pretzels and cookies. 

When the evening calls, one of Hong Kong’s best Happy Hours in Admiralty and Pacific place begins featuring cool cocktails, craft beers and wines, sourced from both the old and new world.
